KINGSTON, N.Y. – Abbey Baker's individual championship helped the Knights to a 2nd-place finish at the Stonehill "Hill Yeah" Invitational at Wiltwyck Golf Club. After a weather delay shortened the tournament to two rounds, FDU boasted a 14-shot improvement in the second round to climb up the leaderboard.

Senior Abbey Baker captured the individual title with consecutive rounds of 2-under 70 to finish at 4-under. Her first round was the only under-par score on the day, giving her a 2-shot advantage over field. After holding the lead overnight, Baker showed no signs of slowing down throughout the 36 holes, ending the tournament with an impressive 11 birdies and 1 eagle, giving her a 4-shot victory. This win marked Baker's individual collegiate title, a fitting reward for the staple she has been on the Knights' squad during her tenure here in Teaneck.

Stefaniya Mosyagina and Fiorella Franco Harder were next in line for the Knights this week, both finishing in a tie for 14^th place. The juniors improved on their opening-round scores by six and four shots, respectively. Their better scores were due to some steadier play, with Mosyagina notching 13 pars in her second round and Franco Harder having 12.

Tanishka Prithvi Domnic and Alexandra Malikova rounded out FDU's lineup in Kingston, finishing in T18 and T31. Prithvi Domnic contributed to the Knights' drastic second-round improvement with a 75, +3.
