ELLICOTT CITY, Md.- FDU Women's Golf ended their season as the runners-up in the NEC Championship. Three Knights boasted top five finishes, including an impressive finish from Abbey Baker. Baker shot +6 in rounds one and two, and powered her way to second place on the individual leaderboard by the end of the weekend.
Baker's strong day two was punctuated by consecutive birdies on the final two holes of the afternoon. She continued her momentum on day three with an eagle on hole 17. Her effort lifted her from fourth place to a standalone slot at second place.
Kashika Misra and Michelle Yang rounded out the top five individual golfers, both finishing +16 on the weekend. Through the first two rounds, Misra sunk two birdies and converted nine pars. Misra asserted herself as the second place finisher on the individual leaderboard after two days, before ending at fourth.
Yang started her third day with a birdie, and only bogeyed one more hole to finish +8 on day three. She also landed two birdies on the first and seventeenth holes in round two.
Howard was named the NEC Champions with a final score of +65. The Knights finished +67.
