BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – The NEC announced their weekly softball awards on Tuesday afternoon. FDU's Ayden Stone was named the NEC Player of the Week, and Madison Dollard was named the NEC Pitcher of the Week.
Stone picks up the honor after a tremendous weekend at the Spartan Round Up hosted by Norfolk State. Stone went 6-for-15 during the week, helping lead the Knights to two wins over Norfolk State. The senior drove in two runs in FDU's win over the Spartans on March 8. Stone also went 3-for-3 against North Dakota on March 6. Stone becomes the second FDU player to earn Player of the Week honors this season, joining Celeste Quezada (2/24).
Madison Dollard earned Pitcher of the Week honors following a dominant performance in FDU's win over Norfolk State on March 7. Dollard hurled her first career complete game, leading the Knights to a 3-1 win. The sophomore struck out nine Spartans in the process, setting a career-high. Dollard joins MaryJane Limon as Knights to win Pitcher of the Week honors in 2026 (2/24).
Both Stone and Dollard were named NEC Prime Performers for their efforts during the week. Joining them on the Prime Performer list was Celeste Quezada.
