BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – FDU softball juniors MaryJane Limon and Celeste Quezada were named the NEC Pitcher of the Week and NEC Player of the Week respectively on Tuesday afternoon.

Limon picks up her first career Pitcher of the Week honor following a dominant performance in FDU's win over George Mason on February 21. Limon pitched a complete game, allowing just five hits and no earned runs across seven innings. The Coachella, Calif. native was instrumental in helping the Knights pick up their first win of the 2026 season.

Quezada picks up her first career Player of the Week honor following an impressive weekend at the George Mason tournament. Quezada had two big RBI doubles across the weekend for the Knights. One of those doubles helped the Knights pull away in the 4-1 victory over George Mason on February 21. Quezada hit to a .400 average during the weekend for the Knights.

FDU will take a short break, but be back in action next weekend when they participate in the Spartan Round Up hosted by Norfolk State. The Knights' first game of that tournament will come against North Dakota on Friday, March 6. First pitch in Norfolk will be at 11 a.m.

Limon and Quezada were also named NEC Prime Performers for their efforts during the week.
