GAME STORY

Back on their home floor for a third-straight contest, the Knights owned the first ten minutes. Three-pointers from David Jevtic and Raysean Johnson gave FDU a 14-4 lead. Johnson then hit two free throws to extend the lead to 12 with just over ten minutes left in the half.

Over the next several minutes, FDU cooled off offensively and the Red Flash began to chip away. A 7-0 spurt brought the Red Flash to within three at 21-18. Fortunately, the Knights were able to reestablish an interior presence before the half ended. They cashed in on four buckets in the paint, including two from Noah Melson, to maintain a 29-25 advantage heading into halftime.

The Red Flash quickly knotted things up in the second half and even found themselves ahead 42-38 with just over 14 minutes to play. FDU, once again, looked down low to regain their momentum. Arthur Cox hit a tough fadeaway in the lane before David Jevtic tied the game with a layup on the next possession. Thanks to a couple of stops, and paint buckets from Cyril Martynov and Jackson, the Knights leapt back in front 50-44. Jackson extended the lead to eight with two free throws with 7:35 to play.

FDU held onto the lead from there and secured the victory.
