Women's Basketball Heads to the Big Apple for NEC Road Trip

HACKENSACK, N.J. – FDU women's basketball will continue their stretch of NEC play with a two-game road trip, facing both Wagner (6-9, 2-2) and LIU (9-6, 4-0).

LAST TIME OUT
  • FDU is coming off a 65-57 win over New Haven on Saturday, January 10.
  • The Knights pulled out a close win, breaking a tie with 2:30 left in regulation.
  • Kailee McDonald led the way with 16 points. 14 of McDonald's points and all four of her three-pointers came in the second half.
  • Ava Renninger contributed 13 points and eight assists.
  • Rebecca Osei-Owusu scored eight points and grabbed nine rebounds.
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
  • Wagner enters the contest with a 6-9 record on the season, and a 2-2 record in NEC play.
  • Junior center Lijirin Doyinsola Modesayor leads the way for Wagner, scoring 10.8 PPG, and grabbing 6.4 RPG.
  • The Seahawks were picked to finish seventh in the 2025-26 NEC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
SCOUTING THE SHARKS
  • LIU enters the week with a 9-6 record, and is tied atop the NEC standing with FDU at 4-0.
  • The Sharks feature the reigning NEC Player of the Week in Kadidia Toure. She leads LIU with 19.7 PPG, and 10.6 RPG.
  • LIU has the top scoring offense in the NEC, averaging 70.1 PPG as a team. They are the only team in the conference who rank ahead of FDU's 68.0 PPG.
  • The Sharks were picked eighth in the 2025-26 NEC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Following the weekend trip to New York City, the Knights will head back home to host CCSU on Thursday, January 22. Tip-off in Hackensack will be at 7 p.m. Television coverage will be available on the YES Network and the Gotham Sports App, with radio coverage on WFDU.
