WEST HAVEN, Conn. – FDU (5-12, 2-2) fell at New Haven (7-10, 2-2) by a score of 65-55 on Saturday afternoon.
- David Jevtic (5-9 FG) led the team with 13 points
- The Serbian freshman knocked down three triples to match a season-high

It simply was not FDU's day. Despite scoring the game's first two points, the Knights came out of the gate cold. They connected on just four field goals in the opening stanza. New Haven took a 27-14 lead into halftime.
New Haven extended their lead to as many as 20 before FDU's comeback attempt began with just over nine minutes to play in the second half. Trailing 48-28, the Knights finally found some rhythm in the form of 13-2 run that cut the lead to nine. Five different Knights scored over this span. The Chargers quickly extended the lead back to 13, but FDU continued to fight.

Eric Parnell triple and
Joey Niesman layup on back-to-back possessions brought FDU within six with three minutes left. After this, the Knights suffered some empty possessions and the Chargers made 6-8 from the line to put the game away.

The Knights will enjoy a week off before getting back into action at home against LIU next Saturday, January 17. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start and will air on YES.
