BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – FDU men' soccer graduate student Eric Dlabal was named the NEC Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. It is the first NEC weekly honor of Dlabal's career.

The Paramus, N.J. native picks up the award following a red-hot week. Dlabal recorded a four-point week for FDU, scoring goals in back-to-back matches on the road against Rutgers and CCSU. 

Dlabal's first goal of the week came in the form of an equalizer on the road at Rutgers. In the 51st minute, he sent home a pass from teammate Alex Ferenac to level the match at two apiece. The Knights would go on to lose the match in the final minutes, but Dlabal's goal was one of the most exciting of the season for the Knights thus far.

The graduate student capped his week off with an 84th minute goal in the Knights' 4-0 win over CCSU.

Dlabal's two goals during the week added to a Knights attack that is leading the NEC. FDU leads the NEC in points (47), goals (16), and assists (15).

Dlabal was also named an NEC Prime Performer for his performance during the week. He was joined by Matheus Franca and Alex Ferenac, who also received Prime Performer honors.

FDU will be back in action on Thursday, October 2, when they host New Haven. Kickoff at University Stadium will come at 4:00 p.m.
