BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – After his performance at the Golfweek Stifel Spring Challenge, Pyae Phyo Thu was named the NEC Golfer of the Week. He is the first Knight to be crowned with the honor this season.

The Knights competed in a tough field at True Blue Golf Club. Phyo Thu helped FDU finish above conference favorite LIU.

The Myanmar native opened his week with a 69. He closed it with rounds of 74 and 71, giving him a final score of -2. He finished T21. The senior made 11 birdies and 36 pars in 54 holes of competition. He averaged under par on the course's par 4s and 5s.

The Knights will compete at the Testudo Cup hosted by Maryland this weekend, April 5-6.
