Box Score Binghamton, N.Y. – FDU women's tennis put on a commanding performance against Binghamton, sweeping both doubles and singles play for a decisive victory on Sunday
In doubles, FDU took control early, securing all three matches with dominant play. The duo of Lim/Kubanova set the tone with a swift 6-1 victory, followed by Isago/Kim, who matched that scoreline. Kostsina/Silva closed out the doubles sweep with a 6-2 win.
With the doubles point in hand, FDU carried its momentum into singles action, winning all six matches. Anastasia Lim delivered a flawless performance at No. 2 singles, blanking Caterina Casadei 6-0, 6-0. Namie Isago (No. 1), Valentina Silva (No. 4), Ann Kato (No. 6), and Alena Kubanova (No. 3) each posted convincing straight-set victories.
The most competitive match of the day came at No. 5 singles, where Katsiaryna Kostsina rebounded from a first-set loss to take the match in a third-set super tiebreak, 2-6, 6-2, 10-2.
