FDU Women's Basketball is Going Dancing

For the first time in school history, FDU goes to the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship

HACKENSACK, N.J. – FDU women's basketball has punched their ticket to the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship for the first time in program history.

The #1 seeded Knights extended their winning streak to 21 games with a 90-61 victory over #6 Chicago State in the NEC semifinal on Thursday evening. Because Stonehill, who FDU will meet in the NEC Championship game, is still in the transition period, FDU earned the NEC's automatic bid to March Madness with this win.

Teneisia Brown led the way with 23 points and 13 rebounds.

The NEC Championship will be in Hackensack on Sunday, March 16. The Knights will host #2 Stonehill at 12 p.m. on ESPNU. FDU is aiming for their first NEC Championship since 1992.  Tickets are on sale now.

The Selection Show for the NCAA tournament is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. on Sunday. FDU encourages fans to come watch the Selection Show with the women's basketball team at the Bogota Savings Bank Center.
