Box Score 1 |
Box Score 2 BALTIMORE, MD – FDU softball (2-6, 0-0) split a Sunday doubleheader on the road against Morgan State (2-8, 0-0).
Game 1
The Knights took game one in thrilling fashion, with a late game offensive explosion. The Knights found themselves trailing 1-0 heading into the sixth inning. FDU proceeded to start a rally, loading up the bases for
Ayden Stone. Stone came through in the clutch, ripping a three-run bases clearing double to give FDU the lead. The Knights added on an insurance run, when
Kailee O'Sullivan crushed a triple to score Stone as well. The Knights would add two more runs in the seventh to pad the lead further.
Game 2
The Knights dropped their second game by a score of 4-1. The Knights were unable to overcome an early 3-0 lead by Morgan State. An RBI by O'Sullivan in the top of the fifth helped the Knights scratch one run back, but the comeback magic from game one ran out.
WHAT'S NEXT
FDU will now turn their attention to the west coast. The Knights will head out to California for the CSUN Champions Classic, beginning on Friday, February 28.
