MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The FDU Knights (0-6) wrapped up their series against Middle Tennessee State (4-3) with a 7-1 loss on Sunday.
Sophomore,
Cooper Montelbano got the start on the mound, pitching three innings while allowing three runs and striking out three. The Blue Raiders added to their lead with two runs in both the fourth and sixth innings off relievers
Ben Pika and
Jordan Savinon, capping their scoring at seven.
FDU broke through in the seventh when freshman
Felix Gonzalez singled to drive in
Hunter Ray for the Knights' lone run of the game.
Despite getting on the board, the Knights couldn't overcome the deficit, falling 7-1 in the series finale.
The Blue Raiders' Eston Snider accounted for five of Middle Tennessee State's seven total runs. The centerfielder went 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run, scored two runs, and drove in three RBIs.

FDU returns home for its season opener at the Naimoli Family Baseball Complex in Teaneck, N.J., on February 26. The Knights will take on Saint Peter's at 2 p.m.
