Women's Basketball Prepares for Rematch With Le Moyne

HACKENSACK, N.J. – FDU women's basketball (21-3, 11-0) prepares to host Le Moyne (4-20, 3-7) on Thursday for a rematch of last season's NEC semifinal. The anticipated match-up will be broadcasted to a national television audience on ESPNU. Tip-off will come at 5:00 p.m.

The Knights will seek revenge after falling to Le Moyne in their previous meeting, when the Dolphins knocked FDU out of contention for an NEC title.

FDU has used the abrupt end to their season last year to help fuel what has been one of the best seasons in recent program history. The 2024-25 Knights have set a number of records, one being the 14-game win streak which they enter the game with.

The Knights are currently sitting at the best record in program history to start a season at 21-3. They also are off to the best start in conference play in program history. FDU has begun the NEC slate with an 11-0 record. That is also the best start to an NEC slate since 2019-20 Robert Morris, who began their conference schedule with a 14-0 record.

Two big catalysts for the Knights' success this season have been the play of Teneisia Brown and Ava Renninger. Brown is currently the back-to-back reigning NEC Player of the Week, and has picked up five such honors this season. Brown is also riding a streak of four straight double-doubles. She is averaging 17.3 PPG and 13.3 RPG over the past four games.

Renninger has broken out as one of the top freshman in all of DI women's basketball this season. She is currently 13th in the nation in scoring by a freshman with 14.5 PPG. That mark also leads the Knights. Renninger is an eight-time NEC Rookie of the Week, and is coming off of a week in which she averaged 21.0 PPG.

The Knights are also currently undefeated at home in the 2024-25 season, sitting at 11-0 when playing in the Bogota Savings Bank Center. The last time FDU lost in Hackensack was on February 24, 2024, when they dropped a match-up to Le Moyne.

Coverage of the game between the Knights and Dolphins will be live on ESPNU, with tip-off coming at 5:00 p.m.
