FLUSHING, N.Y. - The FDU Knights earned a thrilling 4-3 victory over St. John's on Friday afternoon. The win marks their first of the season and the first for head coach Alex Cole on the women's side. In a slow start for the Knights, doubles pairs Anastasia Lim/Namie Isago and Valentina Silva/Katsiaryna Kostsina lost their matches to take an early 0-1 deficit. However, with a default win by freshman Ann Kato, FDU was able to tie the match 1-1. Two more Knights secured singles victories, leaving the match in the hands of senior Namie Isago. With a thrilling 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) victory, Isago clinched the match for the Burgundy and Blue.
 
The Knights are back in action on February 21, as FDU heads to Newark to face Delaware for a 12 p.m. match.
