Women's Basketball Set to Host FDU Christmas Classic

HACKENSACK, N.J. – FDU women's basketball will host the FDU Christmas Classic on Monday and Tuesday in the Bogota Savings Bank Center. Binghamton, Penn, and UMES will all make the trip to New Jersey to participate in the two-day tournament. FDU will face Binghamton, and Penn will face UMES on December 29. The two winners will then face off to hoist the trophy on Tuesday, December 30. The two losers from day one will compete for third place on Tuesday as well.
 
THE BASICS
  • FDU vs. Binghamton - Dec. 29 at 2 p.m.
  • Penn vs. UMES - Dec. 29 at 4 p.m.
  • TBD vs. TBD - Dec. 30 at 1 p.m.
  • FDU vs. TBD - Dec. 30 at 4 p.m.
  • The first three games of the tournament will air on NEC Front Row.
  • FDU's matchup on Dec. 30 will air on the YES Network and NEC Front Row.
LAST TIME OUT
  • FDU is coming off of a long break, last facing Ursinus on December 20.
  • The Knights defeated Ursinus 85-19 in the latest matchup.
  • Kailee McDonald dropped 22 points on six threes to lead the way for the Knights in the victory.
  • The last time the Knights played a Division I opponent was in their December 10 victory over Saint Peter's.
  • The Knights ride a six-game winning streak into the FDU Christmas Classic.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
  • Binghamton stands at 7-4 on the season.
  • Junior guard Bella Pucci leads the way for the Bearcats, averaging a team-high 13.8 PPG.
  • The Bearcats have seen exceptional play out of junior forward Kendall Bennett, who averages 12.4 PPG, and 7.8 RPG.
  • Binghamton returns all five starters from the 2024-25 campaign.
SCOUTING THE QUAKERS
  • Penn enters the Christmas Classic with an 8-3 record on the season.
  • The Quakers are coming off of an impressive victory over PAC-12 member Washington State in their latest match-up on December 19.
  • Penn features a balanced attack, with four players averaging at least 9.0 PPG.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS
  • UMES enters the tournament with a 7-8 record on the season.
  • The Hawks are coming off of a 90-75 win over Bloomfield in their last contest on December 20.
  • Senior guard Ashanti Lynch leads UMES with 12.3 PPG on the season.
COMING SOON

Following the completion of the FDU Christmas Classic, the Knights will begin conference play. FDU will head on a road-trip to Pennsylvania to face Mercyhurst on January 2, and Saint Francis on January 4.
