BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Arnau Rabassa Guillamon was named the NEC Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. It is the third time this season that Rabassa Guillamon has earned such an honor.
The senior receives the award following a dominant performance in FDU's 3-1 victory over Le Moyne on October 30. Rabassa Guillamon scored a brace, including the game-winning goal, in the win.
The Barcelona native broke a 1-1 tie with a goal in the 62nd minute, and then added to the Knight lead with a 71st minute goal, helping the Knights to clinch a playoff spot in the process.
With his brace, Rabassa Guillamon is now tied for the NEC lead in goals with seven. He also sits atop the NEC points leaderboard with 16.
For his efforts during the week, Rabassa Guillamon was also named an NEC Prime Performer.
The Knights return to action on Thursday, November 6 as they travel to face Mercyhurst at 1 p.m. FDU remains on the hunt for the NEC regular season title.
