BRIDGEWATER, N.J — The FDU women's volleyball pair of Kyndal Ganoe and Alessia Zampieri earned their third weekly honors of the season on Tuesday afternoon. Ganoe was tabbed NEC/Molten Defensive Player of the Week and Zampieri was named NEC/Molten Rookie of the Week.
Earning Defensive Player of the Week on September 3 and September 23, Ganoe adds another award after a stellar performance this past week. The Kentucky native anchored down the Knights defense in their three wins, tallying 37 digs and 10 assists. Additionally, Ganoe was added to the NEC's Prime Performer list this week.
Zampieri, who was last week's Rookie of the Week, made it back-to-back honors. The Italian native contributed 26 kills and 7 blocks, hitting .395 over the week. In their win over Stonehill, Saturday afternoon, Zampieri had a standout performance with 14 kills and 4 blocks, hitting .565.
The Knights head to Chicago to take on Chicago State, Friday October 17 at 6 p.m. and Saturday October 18 at 1 p.m.
