BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – FDU men's tennis traveled to Binghamton for three days of action at the NEC Individuals this past weekend. Junior
Jorge Alonso-Cortes had a successful outing, winning two singles matches to make it to the men's D draw finals where he lost to Sviatoslav Koliadynski of Mercyhurst 6-4, 7-5. On the doubles side, Alonso-Cortes and partner
Asaf Schwartz lost their first match but rallied the next two to win the men's B doubles consolation finals. Junior
Gryffin Minor also bounced back from a first-round loss, winning his next two matches to advance to the A draw consolation final where he beat Leon Eddie Schmidt of Wagner 6-4, 7-5.
