This marked graduate student goalkeeper
Spencer King's second shutout of the season.
"A performance to remember for our guys today," said head coach
Jaymee Highcock. "We played a very talented UMBC team, in a very hostile environment. We had to adjust our press and defensive shape quickly before the start of the game and our guys showed good tactical understanding. We showed great character and personality today. I am extremely proud of the staff and this squad of players. We now rest, recover, and prepare for another away game."
The Knights will continue a four-game road stint on Thursday, September 5 when they face Dartmouth in Hanover, N.H. Kick-off is set for 5 p.m. and you can stream all the action on ESPN+.
