Knights Go To Mount St. Mary's For Game Two of Road Trip

EMMITSBURG, MD – FDU Women's Basketball finishes up a weekend road trip to the DMV with a Sunday afternoon match-up on Nov. 10 against the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers. The game will be available to be streamed on ESPN+.

The Knights head into the match-up looking to sweep the road trip, and ride momentum off of a historic win over American University on Friday. With the Knights' 62-59 victory the last time out, head coach Stephanie Gaitley picked up her 700th win as a Division I women's basketball head coach, just the 17th coach to record that milestone. The Knights accomplished it in thrilling fashion, exchanging blows with American late, but ultimately pulling out the win after being given a late lead on an Ava Renninger three-pointer.

FDU now takes a trip to visit Mount St. Mary's, who they previously saw last season at home in Hackensack. That last contest between the two saw Mount St. Mary's come away with a 64-50 win. The Mountaineers capitalized on FDU sloppiness in that victory. Half of the Mountaineers' 64 points came off of Knight turnovers. FDU will look to clean things up in this season's contest, now on the home court of the Mountaineers.

The Knights head into the match-up with a 2-0 record on the season, following the latest victory over American, and a win in the season opener against Dominican. The Knights have been led by their freshman Renninger in the scoring column through the early season; Renninger is averaging 18.5 PPG across her first two collegiate contests, and has been a name to watch for FDU.

Teneisia Brown heads into the game following a strong first two games as well. Brown notched a 22 point, nine rebound performance in the season opener, and followed that up with a 12 point, seven rebound performance against American. Brown, alongside Abby Conklin, and Staci Williams, was named to the Preseason All-NEC Team ahead of this year.
