Namie Isago capped off her historic fall campaign with an impressive run earlier today at the ITA Conference Masters Tournament. Receiving an automatic bid with her win at the NEC Individuals, Isago came out hot in her first match of the day. Facing Sara Karim of Florida A&M, Isago took a thrilling 7-6 first set victory. Despite losing the second set 5-7, the reigning NEC Player of the Month rallied back with a 6-2 set three victory to secure her spot in the round of 16.
Isago saw tough competition in #4 ranked Oyinlomo Quadre of Florida International for her second match of the day. The Joinville, Brazil native gave a hard-fought effort but dropped the match 4-6, 0-6. Isago finishes her fall campaign with an impressive 9-4 singles record, leading the Knights.
