HACKENSACK, N.J. - FDU Athletics announced Thursday a multi-game broadcast agreement with the YES Network, which will see seven FDU sporting events air live on the YES Network and The Gotham Sports App in the 2024-25 season.
"We are thrilled to showcase our student-athletes on the YES Network again this year," said FDU Senior Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Brad Hurlbut. "This partnership means so much to FDU Athletics and the entire University. We look forward to continuing our association with YES, a network that is so engrained in the fabric of the Northeast Region."
In 2023-24, FDU and YES partnered to bring eight Knights' basketball games to the YES Network airwaves. These included the first-ever non-conference home FDU basketball games to be broadcast on a linear television network.
The 2024-25 package brings a third FDU program into the spotlight with the addition of a women's volleyball match. This match marks the start of the package on November 2 at 1 p.m. when the Knights host Chicago State. FDU, led by the back-to-back NEC Coach of the Year
David Nguyen, has won 12-consecutive games and is currently 6-0 in conference play.
The basketball portion of the package kicks off on November 17 at 2 p.m. when men's basketball takes on Metropolitan rival Manhattan. Last season, FDU went on the road and took down the Jaspers, erasing a 12-point deficit en route to a 76-71 victory. Close games are a common theme in this series, with each of the last four matchups being decided by single digits.
YES Network viewers will get their first chance to see the 2024-25 FDU women's basketball team on November 23 at 12 p.m. when Coach
Stephanie Gaitley's Knights battle Saint Peter's. FDU, the unanimous conference favorite, returns all five members of last year's starting lineup and make up 3/5 of the All-NEC preseason squad.
November 26 marks the highly anticipated "Battle of the Backet Busters" rematch. At 7 p.m., inside the Bogota Savings Bank Center, FDU men's basketball hosts Saint Peter's. Last year these two teams met in the first-ever iteration of "FDU on YES" and the Knights toppled the Peacocks in a 71-70 thriller.
Four home NEC contests will be aired live on the YES Network and The Gotham Sports App, two of which are part of a women's/men's doubleheader on January 18. The day begins at 1 p.m. when the women take on Central Connecticut. The men's clash with the Blue Devils follows at 4 p.m.
The package wraps on January 30 at 7 p.m. with another matchup FDU fans saw on the YES Network last season. Le Moyne will travel to Hackensack as the Knights look for revenge against the team that ended their season in 2023-24.
