NORTH EASTON, Mass. - FDU men's basketball (8-11, 2-2 NEC) and the Stonehill Skyhawks (2-17, 0-4 NEC) square off Friday for the second time in six days as the two conclude their regular season series at 5 p.m. ET on Jan. 19 live on CBS Sports Network. The game will take place at Stonehill's Merkert Gymnasium in North Easton, Mass.
FDU wrote win No. 2 in Northeast Conference play into the book Monday as the Knights bested Saint Francis U 81-71. The FDU effort was aided by career high performances from senior forward
Sean Moore (Columbus, Ohio/Reynoldsburg) and freshman guard
Terrence Brown (Minneapolis, Minn./Columbia Heights); Brown scored 17 points and Moore contributed 23. At least Knights scored in double-figures for the fourth time this season.
After breaking a six-game skid against Stonehill in overtime last Saturday, the Knights have climbed the NEC statistical rankings as the Burgundy and Blue lead the league in tempo (71.8) and average possession length (16.6) per KenPom.
Stonehill hits their home court having lost each of their last six, including the Jan. 13 bout against the Knights. Led by alumnus Chris Kraus (12th season), the Skyhawks have battled the injury bug, rolling out several lineups over their last few outings. Stonehill is 2-4 on their home court this season.
Tony Felder is Stonehill's leading scorer with 12.4 points a game in 18 appearances (17 starts).
FDU looks to go 3-1 all-time against Stonehill with a victory on Friday. The Knights are 1-0 at Merkert Gymnasium.
