Knights and Red Flash Slated for MLK Day Matinee

HACKENSACK, N.J. – In their return home to Stratis Arena, the FDU Knights (3-13, 1-2) will take on the Saint Francis U Red Flash (2-14, 1-2). This is the first of three-straight games in Hackensack for the Knights. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. A win would mark FDU's second-straight at home.

HOW TO WATCH 
Fans can stream all the action on NEC Front Row. 

LAST TIME OUT 
FDU was defeated 60-56 on the road by Stonehill. Stacy Williams and Abby Conklin combined for 16 points in the first-half which helped the Knights to a five-point halftime lead at 33-28. The second-half saw Bella Toomey put the finishing touches on a career-high 12 points. However, Stonehill outscored FDU 22-9 in the final period and stole a four-point victory. The Knights shot 21-51 (41.2%) from the field and went 11-16 (68.8%) from the line in the loss.

BALANCED SCORING
Staci Williams (15), Bella Toomey (12), and Abaigeal Babore (10) all had double-digit scoring performances against Stonehill. It was the second-straight game that FDU had multiple scorers in double-figures. 

TOOMEY TIME
Bella Toomey posted a career-high 12 point in the loss to Stonehill. Eight of her 12 points were scored in the third quarter. Toomey is seventh on the team in minutes and has consistently hit the glass off the bench. 

CATCHING CONKLIN
Abby Conklin is fourth in the country in minutes per game. The guard is logging 37.1 minutes on average this season. She is also contributing 10.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game and is shooting 43-112 (38.4%) from deep on the season. Conklin logged her eighth 40-minute performance against Stonehill on Saturday. 

BEHIND ENEMY LINES
The Red Flash enter this contest with an overall record of 2-14 and sit at 1-2 in conference play. They were defeated by NEC foe Central Connecticut by 24 points in their last game. 

SCOUT'S CORNER 
The Red Flash have found production in Kendall Carruthers and Julianna Gibson. Carruthers averages 11.3 points per game and currently shoots 32.7% from the field. Gibson has proven to be tough in the paint as she averages 4.8 rebounds per game and shoots 37.8% from the field.

Keila Whittington is in her 5th season as head coach of Saint Francis U.

GOOD TO SEE YOU, AGAIN
The Knights have faced the Red Flash a total of 69 times, but Saint Francis U holds the series at 44-25. Last season the Knights swept the Red Flash.

WHAT'S NEXT 
FDU will remain at home as they take on Stonehill in Stratis Arena on January 19. The Friday night tilt is set for 7 p.m. and will be streamed on NEC Front Row.
