HACKENSACK, N.J.- Fresh off a win vs Merrimack, the FDU Knights women's basketball team (3-12, 1-1) returns to action on the road this Saturday at Merkert Gymnasium when they face the Stonehill Skyhawks (0-15, 0-2). Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Knights took on the Merrimack Warriors in a home battle that resulted in a 67-51 victory. The Warriors jumped out to a 22-14 lead in the 1
st quarter, but the Knights closed the half on a 25-4 run, which saw them enter halftime leading 39-26. The Knights were blistering hot in the 2
nd quarter shooting 7-8 (87.5%) from the field and 4-5 (80.0%) from beyond the arc. FDU carried their solid play over into the 2
nd half and secured their first conference victory of the season. The Burgundy and Blue capitalized on the Warrior's mistakes in route to 17 points off turnovers.
BALANCED SCORING
In their last outing, the Knights had four players scoring in double figures.
Abby Conklin (17),
Teneisia Brown (14),
Lilly Parke (12), and
Staci Williams (11) led the way against Merrimack in the Knights victory.
MAKE IT A DOUBLE (DOUBLE)
Brown's double-double against Merrimack was her fourth of the season. The forward has reached double-figures ten times this season. Since scoring just two points against American on 12/2, Brown is averaging 12.4 points and 7.4 boards per contest in FDU's last seven games. On the year, Brown is averaging 11 points and 6.5 rebounds, both of which lead the team.
CONFERENCE-PLAY CONKLIN
Abby Conklin is finding her range from deep. The guard has connected on nine triples in FDU's last two contests. Over that span, she is averaging 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, per game as she continues to stuff the stat-sheet for Coach Gaitley. Last season, Conklin connected on 15 triples and saw her three-point percentage rise to 37.5% in NEC play. With five threes made against Merrimack, Conklin is
heating up just in time for a rigorous NEC schedule.
BEHIND ENEMY LINES
The Skyhawks enter this contest with an overall record of 0-15 and sit 0-2 in conference play. They were defeated by NEC foe Central Connecticut, 71-59 in their previous game. In their 15 games this season, the Skyhawks are averaging 48 points per contest and just over 33 rebounds.
SCOUT'S CORNER
The Skyhawks have found power with senior guard Jada Thornton. Thornton has started all 15 games and averages 9.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
PACING THE SIDELINES
Trisha Brown, now in her 23
rd season as head coach of Stonehill has led the Skyhawks to 13 NCAA Division II Tournament appearances. Brown has seen much success as she sits with a career record of 412-205 (66.8% winning percentage) entering this season.
GOOD TO SEE YOU, AGAIN
The Knights have enjoyed success against the Skyhawks since they joined the NEC. FDU holds the all-time series advantage 2-0 after winning both match-ups last season.

FDU returns home to the banks of Hackensack for a home contest against Saint Francis U on January 15. The Monday afternoon tilt is set for 2:00 p.m. at Stratis Arena as the NEC celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
