FDU Drops Third-Straight Five-Setter
BETHLEHEM, P.A.- FDU (1-7) suffered a reverse-sweep at the hands of Binghamton (5-3) in the first of three matches at the Steel Classic hosted by Lehigh on Friday night.

Set 1
- FDU surged out of the gate with a five-point spurt that gave them an 8-4 lead.
- The Bearcats hung around Sofia Rampazzo smashed them out of the set with a timely kill. 25-19.
Set 2
- Binghamton held an early and sizable lead at 14-5.
- The Knights eventually found their footing but still dropped the frame. 25-17.
- T. Fucka had four kills (.600) in the set.
Set 3
- The Bearcats kept the Knights at arm's length, before the Knights splurged for a 4-0 run to tie it at 19-19.
- The score was tied five more times before a kill from Kylie Nott and a Bearcat attack error completed the FDU comeback. 27-25, Knights.
- There were 13 tie scores and six lead changes.
Set 4
- A timely 3-0 run from Binghamton earned them a match saving fourth-set victory, 25-21.
Set 5
- The Bearcats rode the momentum from set four and took control early in the fifth. FDU could not recover. 15-8.
The Road Ahead
The Knights play two matches tomorrow at Lehigh's Steel Classic against Virginia Tech and Lehigh. The matches start at 10 a.m. and 7 a.m., respectively.
