KENSINGTON, C.T.- In their second-straight week of action, FDU took on Shutter Meadow Country Club at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate. The Knights (+18) finished 11
th as a team.
LIU (-10) chased down the team title and D.J. Francey (-8) of Columbia took home the individual crown.
Pyae Phyo Thu (-2), who finished inside the top-10 six times last year, accomplished that feat for the first time this fall as the junior finished T8. Phyo Thu posted a stellar 68 in the second round on Sunday sinking four birdies along the way.
Matus Kudlac (+5) was the closest to Phyo Thu finishing T36. Kudlac opened the tournament nicely with three birdies for a first round round of 72.
Jake Portugal (+7) finished T45 in his second collegiate tournament.
James Howell (+9) finished T51. Howell started Sunday strong with two birdies in the first four holes. After faltering for a few bogeys along the next few holes, Howell bounced back nicely with a birdie on 10. He finished the day +4.
An opening round 79 put
Thomas George (+12) in a difficult position and he finished T73.

st when they will participate in the UCONN Invitational at GreatHorse. The event will run three days from 0ctober 1

rd for three rounds of action.
