EMERSON, N.J. - On Monday, the FDU Knights community gathered for the department's annual Burgundy and Blue Golf Outing. This was the first iteration of the golf outing since 2021 and the second-straight time it was held at Hackensack Golf Club.

The outing brought together members of the University community, friends, alumni, coaches and student-athletes who all showed their support throughout the day. 

FDU graciously received charitable gifts from numerous sponsors. Janney served as the event's presenting sponsor, while Thornburg (golf cart sponsor), Franklin Templeton (clinic sponsor), Firehouse Subs (clinic sponsor) and Bogota Savings Bank (putting contest sponsor) all also made contributions which made the outing possible.

Each golfer was gifted with a pair of beautiful Under Armour golf shoes.

Perhaps the highlight of the day was ESPN analyst and FDU alumnus Seth Greenberg speaking and auctioning off an ESPN studio tour and experience. Also auctioned was a March Madness watch, which was given to each member of the FDU men's basketball team that upset #1 Purdue in last March's big dance.

Fittingly, FDU men's basketball coach Jack Castleberry was part of the group that won the outing with a score of 60.

Funds raised from the event will support student-athlete services focused on sports medicine and performance.
