Recap: 2021 FDU Knights Outing

EMERSON, N.J. - On Monday, September 20, the FDU Athletics community joined together at the Hackensack Golf Club for the department's annual golf outing. This year's event was the first since 2019 as the 2020 affair was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The outing brought together members of the University community, alumni and friends of the Knights, coaches and current student-athletes who showed their support along the links.

FDU was fortunate to receive generous gifts from event sponsors Bogota Savings Bank, Coach USA and the University Press, which sponsored the hole-in-one event. Event attendee Patrick Carlile delivered an unforgettable moment on hole 12, sinking a hole-in-one from 187 yards to win $15,000. Proceeds raised from the outing will be used to fund athletic facility improvements.

Gifts provided to golfers included tees and balls courtesy of Bogota Savings Bank, a tumbler thanks to BSN Sports and a custom FDU Knights blanket, along with other goodies over the course of the day.

Several attendees went home with high-ticket items including an iPad Air, AirPod Pros, tickets to non-conference basketball games, Under Armour gear and more.
