HACKENSACK, N.J.- For the second time in as many years,
Jaime Julve and
Leon Heitz were both announced as All-Conference team members by the NEC on Wednesday. Julve earned a spot on the First-team, while Heitz graced a position on the Second-team.
Concluding his career as a Knight, this is the third time that Julve has earned All-NEC honors and the second time he has been named to the first-team. 2023 saw Julve put together the single-season program record for lowest scoring average with an average score of 71.93 per round. Julve finished six tournaments inside the top-10 throughout the year with four of those finishes coming inside the top-five. His highest finish was a second-place result at the Wildcat Fall Invitational in October. Always a threat to score, Julve made 88 birdies on the year which is the second-most ever in a single-season by a Knight. He finishes his time as a Knight with two career wins.
Heitz, who was named the 2022 NEC Rookie of the Year, made his way to winner's circle for the first time in 2023. With a score of 140, Heitz captured the individual crown at the Carpetbagger Classic. Heitz also set the single-season program record for birdies as he put 90 circles on his scorecard this season. All in all, Heitz had five top-10 results and finished with a 72.45 scoring average on the year.\
Both Heitz and Julve posted 14 rounds of par or better in 2022-23 and now share the single-season program record in that department.
