NEW YORK, N.Y.- In a hard-fought battle, the FDU Knights women's basketball team suffered a loss to the Columbia Lions in the WNIT, with a final score of 69-53. The loss ended the Knights season, but not before winning a program record 24 games and being crowned NEC Regular Season Champions.
Chloe Wilson led the charge for FDU, playing for an impressive 37 minutes and racking up 22 points, along with 8 rebounds. Notably, Wilson also achieved a career milestone by scoring her 1000th point for FDU.
Graduate student, Madeline Selvaggi also had a solid performance for FDU, pulling down 10 rebounds in the game. This game was a typical showing from Selvaggi who was a leader for the Knights on and off the court.
However, the Lions proved to be a tough opponent, with Abbey Hsu leading the way with a remarkable 25 points. Hsu's scoring prowess proved too much for FDU to overcome, as Columbia was able to build and maintain a lead throughout the game.
