HACKENSACK, N.J. - In front of a raucous Stratis Arena crowd the FDU men's basketball (14-11, 7-3 NEC) set out to extend their lead in the Northeast Conference standings as the Knights took-on Wagner Saturday. The story of the night was the home side's three ball with FDU recording 15 made threes - tied for the second-most in program history in a single game. FDU previously set the season high behind the arc on January 7 against LIU.
Despite their hot hand from the floor, the Knights were unable to hold the lead in the game's final minutes as FDU fell to Wagner for the first time this season, 83-79.
With 3:02 to play in regulation, Roberts picked up an 'and-one' after a made jumper from the top of the key and sank the old-fashioned three-point play to secure his 2,000 career point. Sitting at 2,003 with six regular season games to go, Roberts tallied 1,585 points at St. Thomas Aquinas and thus far has 418 at FDU.
Roberts was involved in the scoring affair from quite literally the tip as the graduate student guard dished out a pair of assists on triples by fellow fifth-year
Grant Singleton and junior Sebastien Lamaute after
Joe Munden Jr. opened the scoring in the first minute of action. Roberts would bank home his first three of the game before the under-16 media timeout to give the Knights an 11-6 lead.

Down the back half of the first, Munden Jr. would continue his reign with six points for a first half total of 10 points to secure his sixth-straight game in double figures. The Harlem, N.Y. raised junior would finish with a new career-best 23 points.
Up four at the half, the Knights would allow the visitors to score nine of the first 15 points of the final 20 minutes though the game would come down to the wire. Roberts rattled home a three with under a minute to play to play for 15 points though the Seahawks would score five unanswered points in the final 39 seconds to secure their fifth win of conference play this season.
