Knights Travel to Staten Island for a Conference Battle vs. Wagner

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Knights (15-5, 7-1) will take on Wagner (11-8, 6-2) this Saturday at the Spiro Sports Center at 2 p.m. A win from the Knights would mean they would retain sole possession of the second place in the NEC and if Sacred Heart losses to CCSU, the Knights could even jump into first place. However, a loss to the Seahawks would drop FDU to third place in the conference. Fans can watch this intense conference battle on the CBS Sports Network.

Last Time Out

The Knights hosted Merrimack College and battled it out for the second time this season. The first matchup between these squads ended with the Knights winning by 10 points in a back-and-forth battle, however, the second matchup was not as close. FDU blew out the Warriors by 21 points and was led by junior forward Chloe Wilson who led the team with 16 points and eight rebounds. The Knights got a scoring outburst off the bench from Bergenfield, N.J. native Ella Fajardo who pitched in 14 points in Saturday's victory. The Knights took advantage of sloppy play early from the Warriors which led to them holding a 25-7 lead after the first 10 minutes of play. This lead was too much for Merrimack to overcome and never got the chance to make it a close contest.

The Knights
  • Wilson leads the Knights with 15.5 points a night and 6.1 rebounds. She has picked up three double-doubles on the season

  • Forgues has entered double-digit point scoring on the season averaging 10.1 points a contest and being a top-three Knight in assists
