Knights Play Host to the Pioneers; Look to Extend Winning Streak to Six

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The FDU Knights (18-5, 10-1) will take on Sacred Heart (12-11, 9-2) Thursday evening at Stratis Arena inside the Rothman Center. This conference battle will take place at 7 p.m. and Knights fans can watch the game on NEC Front Row.

Last time Out

The Knights came out of the gates blazing with a 22-0 run to start the game and eventually headed into the second quarter with a 26-2 lead. This was the second time this season that the Knights held an opponent to just two points in the first 10 minutes of play; the first was on ESPN 3 versus Saint Francis Brooklyn. Junior Chloe Wilson led the Knights with a dominating performance; she picked up 32 points and seven rebounds on a highly efficient 11-for-18 shooting from the field. Wilson is the first Knight to have 30 or more points in a game since Lauren Francillon accomplished the feat with 33 points in a win over Mount St. Mary's in March 2020. Quebec native, Dahomée Forgues had an efficient night knocking down 6-of-10 shots for 13 points and four rebounds. The Knights had contributions all throughout the lineup with Miranda Elebring and Ella Fajardo pitching in 15 combined points in the blowout win. Angelika Szumilo's squad dominated the glass, outrebounding the Blue Devils 37-to-26. The defense held CCSU to a lowly 34.5% shooting from the field which included just 7.7% in the first quarter on 1-of-13 shooting.
