HACKENSACK, N.J.- FDU freshman
Dylan McFadden has been named the NEC Rookie of the Week, marking the first time he has won this honor. McFadden totaled 20 kills across two matches this weekend for the Knights.
On Friday night in FDU's conference opener against Saint Francis U (PA), McFadden matched a career high with 11 kills. His .455 hitting percentage was also a career high for the outside hitter. McFadden followed that up with a nine-kill performance against CSUN on Saturday. The Farmington, N.Y. native collected double-digit points in each match.
McFadden has proved himself as a major factor early in his career for the Knights. Through the first seven matches, he leads FDU in kills and points. He is second in kills per set with 2.40.
"Dylan has done a great job in everything asked of him. He is among our team leaders in every point scoring category. He has what it talks to be a future NEC all-conference player and more." Head coach
Karl France said of the freshman standout.
The Knights are back in NEC action this Friday against LIU in Brooklyn at 5pm.
