NEWARK, N.J. - FDU women's tennis fell to 0-2 on the year Friday as the Knights fell to NJIT (4-1) at the Naimoli Tennis Center by a 5-2 final team score at the indoor facility.
The Knights' two team points came by way of singles victories by freshmen
Anastasia Lim at the top singles slot and
Valentina Silva at sixth singles. The wins were the first for the duo in dual matches this season while Silva made her dual debut in Brick City. Youth showed in
Jeff Brandes' lineup in the non-conference matchup as half of the six singles spots were occupied by freshmen as Lim and Silva were joined by fellow newcomer
Madeleine Graber who made her debut in the fifth singles bout.
