FDU Men's Volleyball Makes Donation to Holy Name

HACKENSACK, N.J.- The FDU men's volleyball team completed a donation to Holy Name on Tuesday morning at the Rothman Center.

The money was raised by the team during their "No Shave November" campaign last November in support of Sina Sabari, an FDU recruit set to join the team in 2022 before a rare cancer diagnosis.

"The overall experience of 'No Shave November' was great. I know that we raised a lot of awareness for cancer patients. I received a lot of questions about why we were doing the challenge and I was able to share the meaning behind it" said FDU junior Ethan Young.

Holy Name is an independent Catholic health system that offers wide-ranging personalized care to patients across the New York City region.

"I came across Cancer Support Community which is run by Holy Name. I thought they would be a great place to donate to since their main mission is to be there for cancer patients and help them out with continuous support." Young added on the team's selection of Holy Name as the donation recipient

FDU men's volleyball continues to support Sina Sabari in his fight against cancer.
