MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - FDU men's basketball (4-4, 0-0 NEC) fell to a .500 record Sunday as the Knights couldn't overcome Robert Morris' 20-point lead in the second half, falling to the Colonials (2-4, 0-0 Horizon) 97-86 to close-out the Urban-Bennett Memorial Classic.
FDU would cut the home team's lead to as few as five with 2:31 to play in the second half off senior forward
Sean Moore's third triple of the game.
The Knights never went away as the Burgundy and Blue closed-in on a 13-point deficit down the stretch of the opening period.
Newcomer
Jameel Morris ended his night 4-for-5 from the field, though the outing was cut short as he'd foul out in the second half.
Free throws were a pain point for the Knights, shooting 66.7 percent from the charity stripe opposed to RMU missing just two of their 32 tries.
With the loss, FDU has now dropped each of their last three as the six-game road trip continues on Thursday, Nov. 30 at Fordham at 7 p.m. live on SNY and ESPN+.
