BROOKLYN, NY- The FDU women's volleyball team (19-15, 8-2) secured a convincing four-set victory against LIU (7-17, 6-4) at the Steinberg Wellness Center this Saturday evening. (25-22,25-22,25-21,25-19)  

Inside the Box score  

• The Knights were strong on offense outhitting the Sharks 64-49.  
• Tatijana Fucka was a standout player, recording 15 kills and an astonishing .667 hitting percentage, along with four block assists. 
• Giorgia Vaschetti also contributed significantly with 14 kills and a .250 hitting percentage. 
• Freshman Avery Bain delivered an outstanding performance, achieving 13 kills with a .233 hitting percentage, marking a season-best for her. 

How it Happened 

Set 1  

• The Knights had an early 7-2 lead before the Sharks made a comeback and tied it at 19.  
• FDU managed to secure a four-point run with Emily Van O'Linda serving, ultimately winning the set 25-22. 

Set 2 

• There were ten tie scores before the Knights broke the tie at 18 and initiated a crucial four-point run with Rampazzo leading the way, ultimately taking the set 25-22. 

Set 3 

• The Sharks had a run to pull ahead 20-15. The Knights closed that lead to two at 22-20 but LIU managed to win the set 25-21. 
• Giorgia Vaschetti delivered with five kills during this set.  

Set 4 

• The Knights took control of the fourth set, gradually building a 20-15 lead. 
• Rebeka Fucka delivered a stunning performance with three consecutive aces, extending the lead to 23-15, and Vaschetti and T. Fucka sealed the deal with kills for a 25-19 win. 
• Tatijana Fucka closed the match on a high note with six more kills and an impressive hitting percentage of .857. 

The Road Ahead 

The Knights are now gearing up for their next matches in Massachusetts. They will face Stonehill next Friday at 5 p.m. and Merrimack on Saturday at 4 p.m. Fans can catch all the action live on NEC Front Row.
