Knights Look to Start New Winning Streak Thursday vs. SFU

LORETTO, Pa. – The Knights (13-5, 5-1) travel to Loretto, Pa. to take on St. Francis U (Pa.) (3-15, 2-4) at DeGol Arena. FDU is coming off their first conference loss of the season when they dropped a back-and-forth battle last weekend to Sacred Heart. Thursday's NEC battle will take place at 7 p.m. on NEC Front Row.
 
Last Time Out

The FDU Knights traveled to the William H. Pitt Center in Fairfield, Conn. to take on the Sacred Heart Pioneers. The Knights entered the contests as the number one team in the NEC but needed a win to hold on to that title. FDU dropped the back-and-forth battle versus SHU on Saturday 71-62.
 
The Knights
  • Wilson leads the Knights with 15.5 points a night and 6.4 rebounds. She has picked up three double-doubles on the season
  • Senior DeAngelo has had a solid season scoring 11.7 points a night on a team-leading 45.9% shooting from the field
  • Guard Madeline Selvaggi is second on the team in rebounds per game with 5.7
Scouting The Red Flash
  • The Red Flash are 3-15 on the year, and have struggled to open NEC play with a 2-4 record
  • SFU will be hoping to steal a win with a defensive performance on Thursday
  • Forward Aaliyah Moore is a player to watch for the Red Flash, she is averaging 8.7 points a game and 9.4 rebounds
  • Keila Whittington enters her fourth season as head women's basketball coach in 2022-23
