BROOKLYN, N.Y.- The Knights (10-4, 1-0) toppled NEC foe LIU (2-11, 0-1) in their opening matchup of conference play. The Knights dominated the Sharks in an 88-51 victory. The Burgundy and Blue's gameplay was to play stifling defense, which they executed. FDU forced 19 turnovers and scored 22 points off of those turnovers. The Knights defense held LIU to 32% shooting from the field and out-rebounded the Sharks by 15 rebounds. The offense for the Knights had an outstanding night as they shot 49.3% from the field and 33.3 from three. FDU had four players score 10+ points, led by junior Chloe Wilson who scored 21 points.
- Wilson posted a double-double scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds.
- Senior Dahomée Forgues put up 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting.
- Freshman Eniya Scott scored 10 points in 11 minutes of play.
- The Knights will travel to North Andover, Mass. this weekend to take on Merrimack. The contest will take place on January 8 at 3 p.m. at Hammel Court. You can watch the game on NEC Front Row.
