After dropping the first two meetings of the season to the Mountaineers, FDU bounced back for a 4-1 victory in the series finale on April 16 as the Knights trail the Mount in the last 10 meetings, 4-6. Since that series FDU is 7-4 with five of those wins coming in NEC play. The Burgundy and Blue are looking to do damage in the Keystone State with four of the Knights' starters earning All-NEC Honors in addition to head coach
Chris Foye's staff who earned Coaching Staff of the Year.
Freshman second baseman
Jess DeWitt earned just the second major award in program history having been named the NEC's Rookie of the Year yesterday by the nine-team NEC softball league.
With a win, FDU would advance in the winner's bracket and face the winner of #1 SFU and #4 LIU tomorrow, May 13, at 10 a.m. while a loss would pit the Knights against the loser of the SFU/LIU game at 1 p.m.
