HACKENSACK, N.J. - Looking to lock-in their 2022 Northeast Conference Tournament positioning and secure a spot in the top four of the NEC standings, the Fairleigh Dickinson softball team returns to league play this weekend with a three-game series against LIU at FDU Softball Field in the home regular season finale.

Game 3 - Sunday, May 1 (12 p.m.)
After suffering a series loss at Mount St. Mary's, the Knights have bounced back to win four of the team's last five games including a series win over Saint Francis U (Pa.) on the banks of the Hackensack, the first series loss for the Red Flash in NEC play since 2019. FDU is coming off a doubleheader sweep yesterday against Saint Peter's - including a come-from-behind victory in the nightcap - as the Knights are now 4-0 against the Peacocks on the year having won the last 18-straight over the fellow Garden State institution.
The first team out of the four-team playoff picture, LIU comes to Hackensack 10-8 in NEC play. The Sharks have won each of their last four games, taking the series finale against Wagner and sweeping the Blue Devils of Central Connecticut.
Following the series with LIU, the Burgundy and Blue hit the road one finale time in the regular season against Wagner for a three-game set.
