WEST WINDSOR, N.J. - The No. 2 seeded Fairleigh Dickinson men's tennis team defeated Bryant with a convincing 4-3 victory to win their second straight NEC title. The Knights captured their 14th championship in program history and earned an automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Men's Tennis Championship.
Junior Teodors Pukse was named NEC Tournament MVP. Senior Mehdi Dhouib and junior Younes Adnane were also named the NEC All-Tournament Team.
FDU started the doubles competition with a victory. In the No. 3 spot, sophomore Arjun Sriram and graduate student Moric Budinszky won their match, 6-3. In the No. 2 spot, Adnane and freshman Justas Trainauskas fell short, 2-6, but Dbouib and Niclas Pietsch registered a 7-5 victory to give FDU the doubles point.
Dhouib began strongly in the No. 2 spot to start singles play, sweeping Nick Lorenz, 6-2, 6-4. Adnane followed in the No. 6 spot with a 6-4, 6-3 win. Trainauskas fell short to Teague Burger 2-6, 5-7. Pietsch had a hard-fought three-set match dropping it to Leonardo Mileikowsky, 6-4, 2-6, 1-6. Sriram competed in the No. 6 spot against Bryant's Grant Pertile and tied the match with a 6-2, 4-6, 1-6 loss. Pukse captured the NEC Title for the Knights in number one singles after a three-set contest with Bryant's Diego Serra Sparrow 4-6, 6-4. 6-4.

FDU will wait until Monday, May 2, to see who they will face in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
