Biography
Participated in singles and doubles action at the ITA Regional Championship, earning a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Tom Russwurm of Fordham in his opening match of singles qualifying action and teaming with Trainauskas to take an 8-7 (4) win.
- Earned a spot on the All-NEC First Team for singles and All-NEC Second Team in doubles
- Won a team-leading six singles matches in his junior campaign
- Earned his first singles win on the season against Sacred Heart (3/8) in number one play
- The junior won his final five singles bouts of the season, including three regular-season wins in number two action against NJIT (3/17), St. Francis Brooklyn (3/23), and Mount St. Mary's (3/28)
- In the NEC Tournament, Dhouib was named to the All-Tournament Team after posting a perfect 4-0 record between singles and doubles
- In the NEC Semifinals, Dhouib won in straight sets against Mount St. Mary's (4/17) and in the NEC Championship, he gave FDU a 2-0 lead with a 7-6, 6-1 win over St. Francis Brooklyn (4/18)
- Went a combined 8-1 in doubles bouts
- Dhouib was 4-1 with Younes Adnane, 1-0 with Eduardo Cabral, 1-0 with Taiga Koyama, and 2-0 with Niclas Pietsch in the NEC Tournament.
- Led the Knights with 13 total doubles victories in his sophomore campaign
- Earned 10 doubles wins with teammate Eduardo Cabral and went 10-3 combined with Cabral
- Also played number one doubles with Niclas Pietsch and registers a 3-3 record
- Ranked second on the team in singles victories with 14
- The sophomore went 6-3 in number two play and was 1-1 in conference action
- Ranked third on the team with six dual victories
- Named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year and First Team All-NEC in singles
- Compiled 13 singles victories while finishing 9-8 as the no. 1 singles player for the Knights, winning four of five NEC matches
- Won 15 doubles matches, going 11-5 when partnered with teammate Andris Gudins
- The duo went 8-5 in no. 1 doubles matches and unbeaten in two NEC doubles matches
- Twice earned NEC Rookie of the Month honors (October 2018 and February 2019)
- Also garnered NEC Player of the Month for October and NEC Rookie of the Week (4/2) recognition
- Academically, named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and made the NEC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll.
- Trained at Tennis Innovators Academy in White Plains, N.Y., while attending Iona Preparatory School
- Ranked as a top 20 player in the USTA Eastern Rankings in 2017
- Won five titles with one runner-up and one third-place finish at the L1 level
- Originally from Spain, practiced for majority of his youth at Club de Tenis Puerto De La Cruz in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain.
