WEST WINDSOR, N.J. -The Fairleigh Dickinson men's tennis team beat Saint Francis Brooklyn 4-2 in the semifinal round of the Northeast Conference Championship. The Knights lost the doubles point but came back strong in singles play as sophomore Younes Adnane clinched the match in the No. 5 spot.
The Terriers started the doubles match with a win as duo Luis Foix Sotos and Matheus Paiva defeated sophomore Arjun Sriram and graduate student Moric Budinszky 6-3. Gustavo Pinho and Miroslav took down Adnane and freshman Justas Trainauskas by a score of 6-3. In the No. 1 spot, seniors Mehdi Dhouib and Niclas Pietsch's 4-4 battle against Jan Godfrey Seno and Nilsson Lindqvist resulted in an unfinished match.
The Knights responded with a win by junior Teodors Pukse at No. 1 as he defeated Nilsson Lindqvist 7-5, 6-0. Saint Francis Brooklyn bounced back as Godfrey Seno defeated Pietsch 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5.
FDU picked up three back-to-back wins by Sriram, beating Gleb Mityurin 7-5, 6-2. In the No. 2 spot, Dhouib downed his opponent in two sets, 7-6, 6-3. Adnane clinched the match at the No. 6 spot against Foix Sotos, winning the match 7-5, 6-3.

The defending champions will compete in the NEC Championship final match as they face Bryant at 1:00 p.m. at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J.
