Women’s Basketball to Celebrate 30th Anniversary of 1991-92 Championship Saturday

HACKENSACK, N.J. - FDU women's basketball team continues its two-game home stand by taking on Central Connecticut State on Saturday afternoon at the Rothman Center.

On Saturday, the Knights will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1991-1992 NEC women's basketball championship. Members from the team along with other women's basketball alumni will be honored at halftime.

Scouting the Blue Devils
Led by interim head coach Kerri Reaves, the Blue Devils come into Saturday with a 2-9 conference record following a loss to Wagner Thursday.

Last time out, Claire Sutherland-Case registered her second double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Her first was a 16-point, 14-rebound game against Brown earlier this season. CCSU averages 58.2 points per game, shooting an average of 37% from the field. Ashley Berube is the team's leading scorer at 15.3 points per game.

Scouting the Knights
The Knights continue to lead the Northeast Conference most recently picking up a home win against St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday.

Rachael Niles logged a tremendous game against St. Francis Brooklyn leading the Knights with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist. Madison Stanley is 10 points away from her 1,000 career point. The team averages 62.6 points per game and a shooting average of .395 from the field. One more win against Central Connecticut State will mark the greatest start to FDU women's basketball conference history.
