Men's Volleyball Dominates at Alderson Broaddus

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Knights picked up a pair of road wins on Saturday and Sunday as they dropped Alderson Broaddus in their final two games of the week.

How it Happened
 
Set One
-The teams traded points to six as Jose Angarita dumped a kill off a dig by Grady Hoffman.
-The Knights picked up steam on a 6-2 run capped by another kill from Angarita.
-Christian Ramirez added a pair of blocks on another six-point spurt.
-FDU held control to the end, finalizing a 25-16 win with a block by Artem Vetrov.
 
Set Two
-Jack Lydon opened the set with back-to-back kills and a service ace for a 7-7 tie.
-The set remained a tight battle to 18-17, as neither team fell beneath a one-point defecit.
-Lorenzo Bonomo deposited three kills in the final five points to take the set 25-23.
 
Set Three
-The Battlers picked up momentum early in set three on a 6-2 spurt.
-With 15 kills on a .565 clip, Alderson Broaddus carried control to the end.
-A final pair of kills by ABU's Jaelin Gray ended the set 25-18.
 
Set Four
-Bonomo and Lydon recorded a combined four kills to open the set 8-8.
-On a 7-1 run, FDU established a lead that they would carry to the end.
-Mihajlo Rodic added two points to open up the gap.
-The Battlers worked to catch up with a 6-1 run.
-Bonomo closed the set with a kill, 25-21.

-Jack Lydon led the Knights with a season-high 15 kills, also adding a pair of service aces and blocks for 18.5 points.
-Also recording double-digit points was Lorenzo Bonomo and Artem Vetrov for a combined 26 points on. Bonomo secured a season-high with 14 kills in the four-setter.
-Nationally ranked libero Grady Hoffman clipped 19 digs, a season-high for the freshman.
-The Knights recorded a season-high 51 kills and ten solo blocks in the set, led by Mihajlo Rodic with three blocks.

-ABU launched on a seven-point spurt.
-The Knights responded with a five-point run, capped by back-to-back service aces by Rodic to tie the set.
-Lydon posted another pair of aces for the Knights, to take the lead which they would carry to the end, 25-22.
 
Set Two
-FDU recorded five kills off sets by Fernandes in the first eight points of play.
-The Knights put together a series of kills with three attacks by Bonomo to establish a five-point edge.
-With 15 kills on a 36.7 percent clip, FDU closed the set 25-20.
 
Set Three
-The Knights jumped out with an early edge as Lydon logged two aces in the first four points.
-The Battlers took control on a five-point run, carrying it to end the set 25-23.
 
Set Four
-FDU came out hot in the final set to take a 7-3 lead.
-Maintaining control, Jael Deveaux posted a pair of blocks to extend the lead.
-The Knights recorded 10 kills in the set to pick up their second win of the week, 25-20.
