HACKENSACK, N.J. - FDU women's basketball made history on Saturday as they clinched the NEC Regular Season Championship title for the first time since 1993.

The Knights defeated LIU, 63-50, in a dominant win as they maintained an edge on the Sharks from the second quarter to the final buzzer.

Rachael Niles, Madeline Selvaggi and Madison Stanley were honored prior to tip-off for Senior Day. The three shot for a combined 20 points, also recording 13 rebounds and six assists.

How it Happened
- Madeline Selvaggi opened FDU's scoring with a triple in the first minute of play. The teams traded baskets until a long-range shot by Aniya Bell broke open a Knights edge. A final pair of free throws by Sierra DeAngelo extended the advantage to 16-12 at the end of the period.
- LIU opened the second quarter with a pair of free throws before entering a six-minute scoring drought. Devyn Scott and Madison Stanley took off on a combined ten-point run as the team shot 9-for-16 from the field. Celia Carbonell drained a triple in the final minute of play to close the half 35-27.
- Scott stayed hot in the paint out of the half, dishing out three layups and a steal midway through the quarter. The team shot five-for-six from the charity stripe to keep the Knights at a distance and end the period 52-37.
- Both teams went scoreless in the first two minutes of play until a layup by Chloe Wilson broke the dry spell. With 3:04 remaining, Bell went up for a jumper to push the lead to 20. LIU took off on a nine-point run in the final minutes of play, but couldn't close the gap, falling 63-50.

- Devyn Scott clipped her best performance of the season, filling the stat sheet with 14 points, three assists, four rebounds a block and a steal. The sophomore shot a perfect clip, going six-for-six from the field and two-for-two in foul shots.
- Madison Stanley matched Scott to lead the team with 14 points, adding seven rebounds, three assists and a block.
- The Knights shot 12-for-15 from the charity stripe, shooting over 80 percent in the first and third quarters.
